Back to Black vintage fashion show 2008

Spybaby Vintage styled the looks and produced the 2008 Back to Black Vintage Fashion Show, showcasing Black women's style through the hair, clothes and make up from the 1940s to the present day.

The gorgeous models - all local women - modeled looks drawn drawn from vintage our collection, with style and panache.

We worked with top African Caribbean hair stylist Judith Saunders and her great team who came from across the country to create all the authentic vintage hairstyles.

It was a massive undertaking, but the show was a sell out and we have had some wonderful feedback; there's talk of taking it to London next year! Big Spybaby thanks to everyone involved who made the show a success - especially the wonderful women in this photo montage by Don John.

Thank you lovely Alice! She is leaving Southampton soon, and today was kind enough to bring in these images from the University of Southampton Fashion Show that we worked on with her.

In the end, most of the garments in the vintage section were from us, and the ladies looked just gorgeous. Alice styled them brilliantly, putting together some great looks.
