Can't let the day end without tipping a vintage hat to the wonderful Yves Saint Laurent who died today. As a teenager, his Rive Gauche perfume in its blue, silver and black tube was my hallmark of womanly sophistication. I was given a navy YSL pussy bow blouse when I lived in Paris in the 80s - I loved the label more than the blouse. Catherine Deneuve in YSL's 'le smoking' is a classic, sexy look. I always loved his glasses.
